KUWAIT CITY Feb 8: The Kuwait junior squash team departed recently for Hong Kong to participate in the 22nd Asian Championships, scheduled from February 12 to 16, 2025.
Before the tournament, the team will engage in a four-day training camp to prepare.
The delegation is led by Board Member Adel Al-Gharib and comprises players Abdulrahman Al-Maghribi, Jassim Al-Gharib, Khaled Al-Fawzan, and Abdulrahman Al-Sanea, along with coaches Ahmed Sabaei and Falah Fayez.
In the group stage, Kuwait is placed in Group A, alongside teams from South Korea and Sri Lanka. The 15 participating teams are divided into four groups, competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, which will follow a knockout format.
Before its departure, the Blue Squash team held a two-phase internal training camp. The initial phase focused on physical conditioning under fitness coach Ahmed Al-Sayed, while the subsequent phase emphasized technical training.
