Kuwait junior team honored for top performance in European Karate Championship

Governor of the Capital honoring the young athletes.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Governor of the Capital, honored the Kuwait youth team who secured first place in the European Open Championship for "Kyokushin Karate" held recently in Romania. The ceremony took place at the Governor's Diwan.

Among those attending the event were Team Captain Abdullah Al-Mutawa, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Suburb and Mansouriya Association Mishaal Al-Kulaib, along with the players: Nasser Al-Nasser, Abdullah Al-Khamis, Abdullah Al-Sarraf, Abdulrahman Al-Nibari, Bader Al-Shatti, Issa Al-Balushi, Hamad Al-Abdali, Khaled Al-Shaleh, Ahmed Bouqmaz, Hussein Al-Balushi, Abdul Latif Al-Saeed, Abdulaziz Ghuloum, Ali Bouqmaz, Abdulaziz Al-Saeed, and Abbas Al-Kaid.

His Excellency commended the remarkable achievements of the team in elevating the country’s name on international platforms. He also recognized the significant efforts that led to its top-ranking performance in this prestigious competition. He expressed Kuwait’s pride in its young athletes, who have begun to excel on Gulf, Arab, and international stages. The Governor emphasized that these champions set a fine example for Kuwaiti sports youth, wishing them continued success and hoping for more achievements in the future across all fields.
