Kuwait junior women’s football team draws 2-2 in friendly match against Bahrain

KUWAIT CITY, November 17: Kuwait's junior women's football team tied 2-2 with its Bahraini counterpart in the second friendly match held in the capital, Manama, on Saturday.

Hanan Al-Hardan, a member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Junior Women's Football Association and head of the delegation, told KUNA that the team's participation in the two friendly matches against Bahrain during the training camp aims to prepare for upcoming events.

The Kuwaiti junior women's team played its first friendly match against Bahrain last Thursday, which ended in a 3-0 victory for the Bahraini side.

Al-Hardan expressed hope that the series of friendly matches and training camps in which the Blue Juniors are participating will enhance their capabilities and football skills, helping to establish the team's presence in international competitions. She conveyed her confidence in the team’s potential, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a strong competitive performance in upcoming matches and representing Kuwait honorably in international forums.

Al-Hardan extended her sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Bahrain, led by Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, for its significant support and encouragement of the delegation.

She also praised the warm hospitality and excellent organization provided by the Bahrain Football Association during the delegation’s stay. Additionally, she commended the Kuwait Football Association and the General Authority for Sports for their continuous support in facilitating the team's participation in external matches.
