Kuwait karate team wins big at Asian Championship

Hangzhou, Sept 22, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti Karate team achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Asian Karate Federation Senior Championship held in Hangzhou, China, from September 19-22, securing one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, the Karate Federation announced on Sunday.

Fayez Al-Daihani, Chairman of the Kuwait Karate Federation, told KUNA that Kuwaiti athletes Salman Al-Mosawi, Mohammad Bader, Mohammad Al-Mosawi, and Saqer Al-Dabasi clinched the gold medal in the group Kata competition. He also highlighted that Salman Al-Mosawi earned the silver medal in the individual Kata event, while Salem Al-Ajmi and Abdullah Sha'aban each took home bronze medals in the under 55 kg and under 60 kg Kumite categories. Al-Daihani emphasized the team's readiness to face challenges and excel in their discipline, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to this recent success.
