Kuwait launches 72 primary mental health clinics in all governorates
Kuwait's Ministry of Health

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: The Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday the launch of 72 primary mental health clinics across the primary health care centers in Kuwait’s governorates. This initiative aligns with the national health strategy and emphasizes the ministry's commitment to promoting public health and providing integrated health services that are easily accessible to citizens.

In a press statement, the ministry explained that this initiative is part of its broader efforts to develop health services and create a seamless integration of psychological and physical care, aiming to provide comprehensive, high-quality care.

The clinics are operated under carefully planned mechanisms that ensure privacy and confidentiality for all patients. Appointments are scheduled based on medical standards, with specific controls in place to ensure the best possible care. The ministry also noted that the clinics offer integrated treatment plans for common mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, sleep disorders, and phobias, among others.

The service is available to individuals aged 18 and older and does not include emergency cases, ensuring a conducive and appropriate environment for patients seeking care.

Appointments can be conveniently booked either through the electronic link https://eservices.moh.gov.kw/spcms/PhsRequestAr.aspx or by visiting any health center. This flexible system allows for quick and easy access to mental health services.

The Ministry of Health reaffirmed its commitment to continually improving health services across the country, supporting Kuwait’s vision for a sustainable healthcare system that addresses the needs of all citizens.
