Kuwait Launches Central Recruitment Drive, Open to Select Citizen Groups

KUWAIT CITY, March 23: The registration period for Central Recruitment No. 90 will start on Friday; during which seven categories of Kuwaitis aged 18 and older will be eligible to register without any condition. Sources said these categories include university graduates, diploma holders, those who completed training courses, university graduates who resigned from the public or private sectors, and those whose contracts ended or been terminated in the private sector. Sources confirmed that two categories of Kuwaitis with high school diplomas or lower who do not need to complete a training course will also be allowed to register. “The first category consists of those above the age of 25 by the end of the registration period on April 11; while the second category comprises of the married, divorced, and widowed regardless of gender,” sources added.

“Furthermore, those with high school diploma or lower, who did not complete a training course; and have been out of service in government agencies, military sector or State-owned companies for at least one full year by April 11 are eligible to register,” sources revealed. Sources clarified that those currently employed in any public sector agency, business owners, school students, university students, students at Kuwait University, Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) students, and retirees are not permitted to register. Sources said the retired teachers who obtained approval from the Ministry of Education to apply for a job will be an exception.
