Kuwait launches clean-up operation to remove 'illegal' camps in Jahra
End-of-season camp clearance drive conducted by Kuwait Municipality in Jahra.

KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Kuwait Municipality announced that its cleaning and road works teams from the Jahra branch, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, launched a large-scale removal campaign on Sunday morning to dismantle illegal camps that remained after the official camping season had ended.

The operation targeted camps located on the right side of Abdali Road, stretching from Al-Mutlaa to Al-Rawdatayn, and came in response to the expiration of the designated camping period set by the Municipality.

In a press statement, the Municipality emphasized that inspection teams will continue removing all camps in violation of the official timeframe. It also noted that the campaign is being directly supervised and monitored by the Director General of Kuwait Municipality, Engineer Manal Al-Asfour.

Engineer Al-Asfour stated that the comprehensive field operation led to the removal of 48 camps along with their annexes. Legal measures were taken against violators, and she stressed that no leniency would be shown to anyone found in breach of Kuwait Municipality’s regulations.
