KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17:  Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi inaugurated a new medical clinic at Jazeera Airways Terminal 5 (T5) to enhance the services provided to travelers by the Ministry of Health. The new clinic is part of the ministry's effort to establish a presence in all major passenger terminals at the airport.

In a press statement on Monday, Dr. Munther Al-Hasawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs, explained that the clinics operate 24/7, offering comprehensive medical services for emergency cases. These services are supported by qualified medical and nursing staff, as well as health inspectors.

Dr. Al-Hasawi emphasized the crucial role these clinics play in implementing preventive measures. This includes conducting medical examinations for travelers arriving from specific destinations to prevent the spread of diseases into Kuwait. Additionally, the clinics provide health awareness and guidance to ensure safe travel.

He added that the strategic placement of these clinics in various passenger terminals enhances traveler comfort. This initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to improving the quality of health services at the airport. It also highlights the collaborative efforts between various government agencies to achieve health development goals, ensuring the highest levels of safety and comfort for travelers.

Minister Al-Awadhi also visited the Kuwait Airport Health Center and medical clinics at terminals T1, T4, and T5 to assess their readiness and the quality of health services being provided. This inspection is part of the broader effort to strengthen the preventive health system and enhance health security and rapid medical response at airports.
