KUWAIT CITY, March 29:  Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan announced the commencement of major maintenance works in the Jaber Al-Ali area, located in Ahmadi Governorate, as part of the new contracts. She emphasized the ministry's ongoing commitment to road maintenance projects across all areas, ensuring the highest standards of quality and adherence to international guidelines to develop advanced infrastructure.

In a press statement on Friday, Dr. Al-Mashaan explained that the relevant teams had thoroughly inspected the area before initiating the necessary maintenance and repairs. Maintenance will begin in the most affected areas, followed by the less impacted areas, with continuous supervision and follow-up by the ministry's teams.

She stressed the importance of coordination to resolve any outstanding issues related to road maintenance and urged the contracting companies to complete the work quickly, efficiently, and in line with the approved technical specifications and timelines.

Dr. Al-Mashaan also advised road users to stay updated with the General Traffic Department for information on road closures to avoid traffic congestion. Additionally, she called on residents to be patient and cooperate with the authorities to ensure the timely completion of the maintenance work, which includes laying a new asphalt layer.
