KUWAIT CITY, Nov: The Secretary General of the Kuwait Lawyers Association, Khaled Al-Suwaifan, emphasized on Monday the association’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the legal profession in Kuwait and across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
In a press statement, Al-Suwaifan announced that the association will host a dialogue session on Wednesday, during the Gulf Weeks, which coincides with the 45th GCC Summit to be held in Kuwait early next month. The session, organized in collaboration with the GCC General Secretariat, will focus on the efforts of GCC countries in the legal and legislative fields, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence and the digitization of the judicial sector.
Al-Suwaifan noted that the session aims to exchange experiences and highlight the progress made by GCC countries in legal and legislative reforms, particularly in light of the region’s pioneering legal initiatives. He stressed the Kuwait Lawyers Association’s dedication to fostering positive, effective, and impactful participation at both the regional and international levels.
Additionally, Al-Suwaifan revealed that the association, in partnership with the Gulf Lawyers Union, will also organize the Gulf Lawyers and Legal Professionals Forum. This event will feature a series of activities and sessions designed to educate lawyers, particularly recent graduates, about the role and achievements of the GCC across various sectors.
He concluded by emphasizing the association’s commitment to facilitating events that will showcase the GCC’s legal advancements and contributions, supporting the development of legal professionals in the region.
