NEW DELHI, Jan 27: Kuwait's Ambassador to India, Mishal Al-Shamali, expressed his country's desire to further strengthen its relations with India for the mutual benefit of both nations and their peoples. His remarks were made in an interview with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following his attendance at the military parade and reception hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of the 76th Indian Republic Day, also known as "Constitution Day."
Al-Shamali highlighted that the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kuwait last December "laid a new foundation for enhancing political, trade, economic, defense, and cultural relations between the two friendly countries," taking their ties beyond a bilateral level and moving toward a more comprehensive and strategic partnership.
The Kuwaiti ambassador also commended India's cultural and human diversity, as well as the spirit of cooperation within the country. He noted that the military parade showcased India's military advancements, cultural richness, and technological innovation. Al-Shamali pointed out that the parade represented all branches of the military and offered a valuable opportunity to learn about India’s rich heritage, its diverse cultures, and the stages of technological and technical development across various sectors.
