KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Ministry of Interior has launched a comprehensive security and traffic campaign in the Hawalli area, led and supervised directly by Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and maintain order in the country.
In a press release on Saturday, the Ministry of Interior announced that various field departments within the Traffic and Operations Sector participated in the campaign. These included the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Emergency Police, the Central General Department of Operations, and the Private Security Sector. The Ministry also highlighted the active involvement of female police officers, which significantly contributed to the campaign’s success and achievement of its security goals.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of 921 traffic violations, the arrest of 5 individuals for violating residency and work laws, and the apprehension of 5 people wanted for absconding. Additionally, 3 individuals wanted for arrest were taken into custody, while 3 others were referred to the General Department for Drug Control. The authorities also seized 8 vehicles and motorcycles wanted by the judiciary and impounded 10 vehicles and motorcycles for traffic violations.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that such campaigns are part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance security and public order. These efforts will continue as authorities work to apprehend violators and wanted individuals, ensuring a safe and stable environment throughout the country.
