KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: Kuwait Municipality is working on finalizing concepts for the investment of the “Barayih Salem” site and the “Injaz Market” project, aiming to bolster small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country.

Eng. Maysa Boushehri, Deputy Director General of the Projects Sector, is set to meet soon with officials from the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development. The meeting will focus on discussing new strategies to develop initiatives that support the growth of small businesses in Kuwait.

The Projects Sector had previously submitted a proposal to modify the components of the Injaz Market project. Among the proposed changes is allocating 25 percent of the market's shops for SMEs, while the remaining shops will be available based on supply, demand, and the area's designated uses.

The initiative is expected to strengthen the local economy by offering more opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to thrive.
