KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: In a significant development, Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, the Director General of Kuwait Municipality, announced that the groundwork for the electronic violations platform is set to take shape this week. He shared insights into the platform's objectives, functionalities, and strategies for implementation.
Speaking exclusively to Al-Rai, Al-Dabbous emphasized that the electronic system would eliminate the potential for manipulation, modification, cancellation, or concealment of violations, a drawback often associated with paper-based systems. Underlining the global trend of municipalities embracing continuous development, Al-Dabbous highlighted that the evolution of the electronic system within Kuwait Municipality is a crucial step in deterring transgressions, particularly in the realm of violations.
"Initial considerations have been presented to determine the scope covered by the platform. This will include addressing violations related to abandoned cars, cleanliness, encroachments on state property, building infractions, and unauthorized festivals and weddings, among others. Subsequently, coordination with the Ministry of Interior will be pursued to facilitate seamless integration between the two entities," Al-Dabbous stated.
He also shed light on a novel approach related to cancellation orders and the immediate payment of violations. Al-Dabbous expressed that the municipality is currently awaiting the completion of legal responses to finalize the innovative strategy.
The electronic violations platform signifies a transformative step for Kuwait Municipality, aligning with international best practices and reinforcing the commitment to a technologically advanced and transparent governance system. As the vision takes shape this week, stakeholders anticipate a more efficient and foolproof mechanism for addressing and managing various types of violations across the municipality.
