KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: The Ministry of Information is preparing to kick off the concert season in February to coincide with Kuwait’s National Day celebrations. It is in the process of contracting with an artistic production company to organize the “February Kuwait” concerts for this year. According to informed sources, the ministry is set to directly contract with a company to secure the broadcasting, recording, and airing rights for seven concerts, which are expected to feature prominent Arab and Gulf artists. The value of the contract is approximately KD 290,000, which covers all broadcasting and recording rights, as well as the rights to air the concerts on Kuwait TV. The ministry has already begun coordinating with the relevant regulatory authorities to obtain the necessary approvals and is now awaiting official clearance in preparation for finalizing the direct contract. The sources indicated that some of the proposed artists for the concerts include Mohammed Abdu, Abdul Majeed Abdullah, Nabil Shuail, Tamer Hosni, Asala, and others. The Ministry of Information is gearing up to launch the concert season in February, in line with Kuwait’s National Day celebrations.
