KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26: Kuwait slipped one spot in the FIFA rankings, now standing at 136th place in the classification released by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). Meanwhile, the Argentine national team maintains its top position in the rankings.
Kuwait played two friendly matches this month, suffering a 1-0 defeat to the United Arab Emirates and securing a 2-1 victory over Syria.

In the top five positions, Argentina remains the front-runner, followed by France, Brazil, England, and Belgium.

Portugal has made a noteworthy jump, advancing two spots to claim the sixth position, surpassing the Netherlands. Spain has also moved up by two positions to reach eighth place, while Italy retains its ninth place.

The most significant decline was experienced by Croatia, which dropped four places to settle in tenth place.

At the Arab level, Morocco maintains their lead in 13th place, ahead of Tunisia (32), Algeria (33), Egypt (35), Saudi Arabia (57) and Qatar (61).
The Lithuanians are the biggest climbers in the current rankings, surging by nine places to secure the 134th position.
