KUWAIT CITY, June 25: The General Assembly of the Kuwait Olympic Committee will hold its regular meeting today at 7:30 pm in the conference hall at the committee's headquarters in Hawalli. The agenda includes several important items, with a primary focus on restructuring the Ethics Committee, previously chaired by the late Dr. Rashid Al-Enezi.

Additional agenda items include approving the previously distributed agenda, appointing three members to review the meeting minutes, approving the report on the activities of Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, presenting the consolidated and audited budget and profit and loss statement, approving the audited financial statements, approving the proposed budget, and considering membership requests from the Marine Club, Diving, Rescue, Padel, and E-Sports Club, among other new business.

Associations and specialized clubs, members of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, have the right to nominate two candidates to attend the ordinary general assembly today according to the committee’s statute, with voting rights granted to only one of them.

It is noteworthy that the Ethics Committee previously chaired by the late Dr. Rashid Al-Enezi, a professor of international law at Kuwait University, included Professor of Commercial Law Dr. Fahd Al-Zumai, Professor of International Law Dr. Shaheen Al-Shaheen, Professor of International Law Dr. Dima Al-Waqyan, and Professor of Commercial Law Dr. Muhammad Al-Wasmi. This committee's term expired at the end of the 2020-2024 sessions.
