Kuwait opens Arab Volleyball Championship campaign against Jordan

Kuwait delegation arrives in Manama.

MANAMA, Oct 30: Kuwait will begin its campaign in the 23rd Arab Volleyball Championship on Saturday against Jordan at 4 pm at Isa bin Rashid Hall in Riffa, Bahrain. Qatar to face Saudi Arabia at 6:30 pm in other Group B game

The Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship starts today in Bahrain and will run until the 10th of the month. Group A matches kick off with Oman facing Tunisia at 4:00 pm, followed by a clash between Bahrain and Iraq at 6:30 pm.

Kuwait arrived in Manama two days ago after completing a 10-day training camp in Cairo, where it played several friendlies. It secured victories against Shams and Al-Tayaran, but suffered defeats against Petrojet and Tala'ea Al-Geish, and drew with Sporting.

The Kuwaiti delegation is headed by Hamoud Al-Badali, Assistant Treasurer of the Volleyball Federation, and includes team manager Mohammed Al-Balushi. The technical staff comprises Argentine head coach Julian Alvarez, assistant coach Zaid Al-Kazemi, fitness coach Kozak Germoral, statistician Lux Al-Burg, and physical therapist Ahmed Al-Aqrabi. The 14-player roster features Saud Al-Duwaisan, Mohammed Suwaid, Abdullah Fares, Rashid Anbar, Fahd Saad Yaqoub, Ahmed Al-Munais, Ibrahim Mandeel, Abdulrahman Al-Mutawa, Ali Saadoun, Mishaal Al-Omar, Abdullah Bouftin, Adhbi Malik Al-Enezi, Omar Abdulrahman Al-Enezi, and Abdulaziz Najm.
