AMMAN, April 16: The Kuwait Paralympic table tennis team returned with an impressive haul of seven medals, following its participation in the 16th National Club International Table Tennis Championship, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The tournament, organized by the Jordanian Paralympic Committee, featured 85 players representing 13 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Awad Al-Harbi earned silver in the men’s doubles and bronze in the mixed doubles categories. Meanwhile, Ahed Al-Rashidi claimed two silver medals in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles, as well as a bronze. Mohammed Bin Jabal and Ali Al-Sanea each secured a bronze medal in their respective singles competitions.
Head of the delegation, Duaij Al-Hajri, praised the athletes’ strong performances, saying:
“This international championship witnessed intense competition in all categories. Our Kuwaiti champions delivered a remarkable performance, bringing home seven medals. Their success reflects the high technical level of Paralympic table tennis in Kuwait and highlights our responsibility to continue striving for excellence in future regional and continental events.”
Al-Hajri also expressed his appreciation to the Kuwait Paralympic Committee and the Public Authority for Sports for their continued support and contributions to the development of Paralympic sports.
