Kuwait Police Arrest a Couple Involved in 22 Vehicle Thefts

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 1: As part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat crime and enhance security, the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations – Farwaniya Governorate Investigations Department, has successfully arrested a gang involved in vehicle theft. The gang consisted of a man and a woman who used professional tools to steal vehicles across various locations in the country.

Following thorough investigations, detectives identified the suspects as an unemployed male and female citizen. They employed a systematic method, using stolen vehicles for a short period before stealing their contents and abandoning them in open dirt yards. The suspects were apprehended in the Andalus area, where they confessed to committing 22 vehicle thefts across multiple governorates. Authorities recovered 15 stolen vehicles along with several stolen items.

The accused and the recovered stolen property have been handed over to the relevant authorities for legal action. The Ministry of Interior reaffirms its commitment to combating crime in all its forms and taking strict legal measures against those who threaten public security. It also urges citizens and residents to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activities by calling the emergency number 112.
