KUWAIT CITY, April 27: Kuwait police arrested a young man in his thirties for promoting drugs and alcohol inside his car on the Nuwaiseeb Expressway.
A report was received by the Ministry of Interior’s Operations Room the night before yesterday regarding a suspicious car parked on the side of Nuwaiseeb Road. Southern Roads Security Rescue Patrols immediately responded to the report. When the driver was asked to exit the vehicle, he attempted to flee but was apprehended. The driver, in his thirties, was found in possession of narcotics following a precautionary search. Authorities discovered 48 chemical packets, a packet of shabu, 15 hashish cigarettes, a large bag of narcotic chemicals, and two bottles of homemade alcohol. During initial questioning, the man admitted to trafficking in narcotics and intended to sell the drugs to his customers. He and the narcotics were referred to the General Department for Drug Control.
In a related incident, the Capital Rescue Police patrols arrested two Asian nationals who were found with a large quantity of heroin and shabu ready for distribution, along with a sensitive scale and bags for packaging drugs. The police had become suspicious of a vehicle during their patrol. Upon stopping it, the driver and his companion displayed signs of fear and confusion. After questioning, it was determined that they were Asian nationals. A precautionary search revealed a large amount of heroin and shabu in small bags, along with a scale used for weighing the drugs during sales. Both suspects, along with the drugs, were referred to the General Department for Drug Control.
