KUWAIT CITY, March 25: Two Kuwaiti citizens, aged 60 and 48 have been referred to the General Department for Drug Control to investigate the source of narcotic substances found in their vehicle. A traffic violation was issued to the 60-year-old driver for operating the vehicle in an abnormal condition and violating traffic lanes.
According to a security source, during a patrol in the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area, rescue officers observed a vehicle swerving erratically, indicating the driver was in an abnormal state. When instructed to stop, the driver initially ignored the request but was eventually forced to halt. Upon further investigation, both the driver and his companion appeared to be in an abnormal condition, prompting officers to search the vehicle. The search revealed narcotic substances, including Crystal Meth, two white pills believed to be Captagon and two drug paraphernalia items.
In another incident, highway security personnel arrested an individual in possession of Lyrica pills, three suspected Captagon pills, and two e-cigarettes containing hashish. This arrest followed a landline violation on King Fahd Road heading toward Nuwaiseeb and Taraj, where the patrol stopped the vehicle and discovered the occupants were in an abnormal state. A search of the vehicle uncovered the narcotic pills and e-cigarettes.
