During the meeting at Seif Palace, Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized the committee’s commitment to coordinating and planning high-quality celebrations that showcase Kuwait’s civilized image. He highlighted the need for thorough safety measures and collaboration among all relevant parties to ensure seamless event execution. The Minister commended the contributions of Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chairperson of the Volunteer Work Center, and the committee members from various government agencies for their role in the success of past national celebrations. He noted that this year, there would be a focus on involving the private sector in the festivities, with a series of coordination meetings already underway to enhance cooperation.
The meeting also addressed the role of the Ministry of Information’s digital platform, which will market and promote Kuwait’s events and celebrations effectively. Plans for the national celebrations, set to commence with the flag-raising ceremony in February and extend until the end of March 2025, were discussed, including presentations of activities, event locations, and logistical arrangements
Visual presentations highlighted key aspects of event organization, including identity, security, crowd management, and quality control. The committee reaffirmed the slogan for the national celebrations, “Pride and Glory,” along with its official blue color, which will be used for the coming years. (KUNA)
