KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality announced the launch of a comprehensive cleaning campaign across the six governorates as part of the country's preparations to host the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup Football Championship (Gulf 26).

The municipality stated in a press release on Monday that the initiative, which began today in the area around the Jumeirah Hotel in Messilah, will continue for three weeks. The campaign will focus on cleaning both the main and internal streets, as well as the squares near the hotels designated as headquarters for the sports delegations participating in the tournament.

The municipality added that the cleaning efforts will also involve placing various-sized containers at key locations. The goal is to ensure complete readiness ahead of the tournament’s official opening.

In addition, the cleaning work will extend to nine sports club stadiums designated for team training. These include the stadiums at Khaitan, Al-Shabab, Al-Sahel, Yarmouk, Salmiya, Al-Arabi, Qadsia, Kuwait, and Kazma clubs, as well as the surrounding areas.
