Kuwait prepares for World Cup qualifiers with training camp in Dubai

DUBAI, Sept 30: Kuwait kicked off its first training session at the Police Officers Club Stadium in Dubai, UAE, marking the beginning of its external training camp. The team is preparing for its upcoming matches against Oman and Palestine, scheduled for October 10 and 15 in Muscat and Doha, respectively. These matches are part of the third and fourth rounds of Group Two qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, set to be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Coach Juan Pizzi has announced the national team roster for these two critical fixtures. The squad includes Suleiman Abdul Ghafoor, Saud Al-Hoshan, Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Mishari Ghannam, Khaled Sabah, Rashid Al-Dosari, Khaled Ibrahim, Sami Al-Sanea, Sultan Al-Enezi, Hamad Harbi, Reda Hani, Hussein Ashkanani, Mahdi Dashti, Moaz Al-Aseema, Abdul Mohsen Al-Turkmani, Faisal Zayed, Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, Yousef Nasser, Salman Al-Awadhi, Mohammed Daham, Eid Al-Rashidi, and Yousef Majed.

Notable in the squad is the return of goalkeeper Saud Al-Hoshan, alongside the inclusion of Talal Al-Ansari from Al-Tadamon, as well as the return of Mohammed Daham and Mishari Ghannam, both of whom missed the previous game against Jordan.

Meanwhile, Oman's coach Rashid Jaber also revealed his squad for the matches between Kuwait and Jordan. His roster features Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini, Faiz Al-Rashidi, Ibrahim Al-Rajhi, Mohammed Al-Musalmi, Ahmed Al-Khamis, Mohammed Ramadan, Khaled Al-Buraiki, Ghanem Al-Habshi, Ali Al-Busaidi, Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Amjad Al-Harthi, Abdul Aziz Al-Shamousi, Mulham Al-Sunaidi, Harb Al-Saadi, Abdullah Fawaz, Arshad Al-Alawi, Sultan Al-Marzouq, Jameel Al-Yahmadi, Yazid Al-Maashani, Abdul Rahman Al-Mishfri, Zaher Al-Aghbari, Ahmed Al-Riyami, Nasser Al-Rawahi, Salah Al-Yahyaei, Omar Al-Maliki, Mohsen Al-Ghassani, Essam Al-Subhi, and Hatem Al-Rushdi.
