KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: Kuwait’s official gazette “Kuwait Alyoum” published on Sunday four decrees withdrawing Kuwaiti citizenship and citizenship certificates from 11 people, as well as from anyone who acquired citizenship through them by dependency.
Decree No. 151 of 2026 revoked the Kuwaiti citizenship certificates of three people and the citizenship of anyone who had acquired it through the certificate holder by dependency. Decree No. 152 revoked the citizenship certificates of four people and the citizenship of their dependents, while Decree No. 153 revoked the certificates of three people and the citizenship of anyone who had acquired it through the certificate holder. Decree No. 154 revoked the Kuwaiti citizenship of one person and anyone who had acquired it through that person by dependency.
Decree No. 152 of 2026 withdrew citizenship certificates from four individuals:
1. Fatima Muhammad Abdullah Al-Khaldi,
2. Naira Saud Benesh,
3. Salwa Talal Shakir Ayed Hudaib Al-Rashidi
4. Khalifa Talal Shakir Ayed Hudaib Al-Rashidi.
Decree No. 151 of 2026 withdrew citizenship certificates from
5. Saud Mahdi Ali Nasser Al-Ajmi,
6. Obaid Fahd Zuhaim Al-Sahli
7. Fahd Rashid Janban Mohammed Al-Marri.
Decree No. 153 of 2026 covered
8. Hamad Mohammed Mahdi Musra Al-Ajmi,
9. Saad Mahdi Ali Abdullah Al-Ajmi
10. Nasser Mahdi Ali Abdullah Al-Ajmi.
Decree No. 154 of 2026 withdrew Kuwaiti citizenship from
11. Ghanem Dhiab Mohammed Aswad Hajji,
including anyone who acquired citizenship from him by dependency.
The four decrees assign the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior responsibility for their implementation and state that they take effect from the date of issuance and are to be published in the official gazette.
