Kuwait revokes citizenship of 3,053, largest number in a single day

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: Five decrees were issued to revoke Kuwaiti citizenship from a total of 3,053 individuals, including 3,035 women, marking the largest number in a single day. The decrees, which also include those who may have acquired citizenship through dependency, are as follows:

- The first decree revokes the citizenship of 19 individuals.

- The second decree revokes the citizenship of one person, along with anyone who may have acquired it through dependency.

- The third decree revokes the citizenship of one person.

- The fourth decree revokes the citizenship of 1,414 women, along with those who may have acquired it through dependency.

- The fifth decree revokes the citizenship of 1,611 women, as well as anyone who acquired it through dependency.

In addition, the Council of Ministers issued a decision to withdraw Kuwaiti citizenship certificates from seven people, ensuring that anyone who acquired citizenship through dependency from these individuals will also have their citizenship revoked.
