KUWAIT CITY, March 13: On Thursday, schools under the Ministry of Education celebrated "Gargee'an," one of the most cherished Kuwaiti Ramadan heritage traditions. During the celebration, children donned colorful and cheerful traditional costumes, specially chosen for this occasion.

"Gargee'an" is a beloved cultural and social tradition in Kuwait, and schools within the Ministry of Education have made it a priority to preserve this authentic heritage. The event is designed to instill a sense of cultural pride in students, as well as to bring joy to their hearts through the distribution of sweets.

The name "Gargee'an" in the Kuwaiti dialect is derived from the sound of "clanging drums" that children use during the celebration to mark the occasion.
