Kuwait seeks redemption against Qatar

MANAMA, Sept 3: Kuwait will be looking to bounce back against Qatar in the preliminary round of the 17th Gulf Men's Basketball Championship today at 5:00 pm at Khalifa Sports City Hall in Manama, Bahrain. In its opening match of the championship, Kuwait narrowly lost to Saudi Arabia 69-75, while Bahrain edged out Qatar 77-75.


Four teams are competing in the Gulf Championship: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and host Bahrain. The tournament is being held in a single-round league format, with the top team facing the fourth-placed team, and the second-placed team facing the third on Friday evening. The winners will advance to the final on September 7. Meanwhile, the youth is set to play against India at 7:00 pm in its third match of the Asian Basketball Cup finals, currently taking place in Amman, Jordan.
