More than 30,000 Kuwaiti citizens and residents have registered to participate in Hajj this year.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1, (Agencies): With just 10 days remaining before the registration for this year's Hajj pilgrimage closes, more than 30,000 Kuwaiti citizens and residents have already registered to participate, with the majority being women. The Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) has kept the registration portal open until November 10th, 2023, at 12:00 PM, through the dedicated online platform.

This year, Kuwait's quota for Hajj pilgrims stands at 8,000, with the selection being facilitated by 63 approved Hajj campaigns. Hajj campaigns with fewer than 50 registered pilgrims will not be eligible to organize Hajj this year.

For those residents registered irregularly, the registration process continues, and they await approval from Saudi authorities to participate in the pilgrimage.

Additionally, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is organizing a Hajj exhibition from November 11th to November 15th, 2023, at the exhibition grounds. This exhibition serves as an opportunity for prospective pilgrims to familiarize themselves with the services provided by various Hajj campaigns and seek answers to any questions related to this year's pilgrimage.
