KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: As part of ongoing security efforts by the Criminal Security Sector, the General Department of Drug Control has conducted several intensive operations across various regions of the country. These efforts have led to the arrest of eight suspects, including four citizens and four stateless individuals, who were found in possession of significant quantities of narcotics.
Seized Items:
25,000 Lyrica capsules
5 kg of methamphetamine
1 kg of chemical substances
2,000 Captagon tablets
Two electronic scales and a quantity of empty bags
The estimated market value of the seized drugs is approximately 220,000 Kuwaiti dinars. The suspects and confiscated items have been referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for legal proceedings. The General Department for Combating Drugs reaffirms its commitment to intensifying operations against drug traffickers and dealers to ensure public safety and protect society from this serious threat.
