Kuwait sends 8th relief flight to Lebanon with 30 tons of aid
The eighth relief plane to Lebanon

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced on Tuesday the departure of the eighth relief flight as part of the Kuwaiti airlift to Lebanon. The flight, departing from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base, is carrying 30 tons of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and blankets, as part of the "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign.

Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, Chairman of the KRCS Board of Directors, told KUNA that the humanitarian aid initiative is being carried out in line with the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect them. He emphasized that the leadership of Kuwait is committed to providing all possible support to Lebanon during this time of need.

Ambassador Al-Mughamis noted that the relief flights are part of Kuwait's continuous efforts to ease the humanitarian suffering of the Lebanese people and support those affected by the ongoing crisis. He explained that the aid delivery is being supervised by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon, in cooperation with Lebanese authorities, to ensure its proper distribution to shelter centers.

The KRCS is closely monitoring the humanitarian situation in Lebanon and its impact on the Lebanese population. Al-Mughamis affirmed that the Society will continue to respond to the humanitarian call, working on multiple fronts to provide services and aid to improve living conditions for those in need.

He also commended the efforts of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, the Kuwaiti Air Force, and donors for their pivotal role in providing relief and support to those affected across the globe, especially in Lebanon.
