KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The Ministry of Interior has announced a three-month deadline, starting in March, for all Kuwaitis and expats to undergo biometric fingerprinting. Failure to comply will result in the suspension of all transactions within the country.

According to the General Administration of Security Relations and Media, the Ministry of Interior is actively conducting biometric fingerprinting for citizens, GCC citizens, and expats at various border crossings, Kuwait International Airport, and designated centers.

Individuals can undergo biometric fingerprinting upon arrival at specified centers and commercial complexes, including Hawalli Security Directorate, Farwaniya Security Directorate, Al-Ahmadi Security Directorate, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Security Directorate, and Al-Jahra Security Directorate (for citizens and GCC citizens). Additionally, fingerprinting services are available at the Personal Identification Department in Ali Sabah Al-Salem and Jahra areas (for expats), as well as at various malls and the Ministries Complex.

Travelers leaving Kuwait are not required to undergo fingerprinting, as it will be conducted upon their return.
