KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: As Kuwait prepares to celebrate its National and Liberation Day holidays, the General Traffic Department has issued strict guidelines for decorating vehicles, emphasizing safety and adherence to traffic laws. These measures aim to ensure that celebrations do not compromise road safety or obstruct traffic movement.

According to the directives, motorists are strictly prohibited from tinting or placing stickers on the front or rear windshields of their vehicles, as this can obstruct visibility and increase the risk of accidents. Additionally, covering the original color of the vehicle with stickers, wraps, or any other materials is not allowed. Authorities have also emphasized that front and rear license plates must remain uncovered and fully visible at all times to facilitate identification and compliance with traffic regulations.

The guidelines further prohibit the installation of flags or masts outside the vehicle body, as these can pose a significant danger to other road users. Improperly secured flags may detach while driving, creating hazards for pedestrians and other motorists.

The Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector has urged all citizens and residents to abide by these regulations to maintain road safety and prevent unnecessary disruptions. Violators may face fines or legal consequences for non-compliance. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that national holiday celebrations are enjoyed responsibly while prioritizing public safety and smooth traffic flow.
