Kuwait shines in tent pegging with two medals at GCC Beach Games

MUSCAT, April 10: The Kuwaiti tent pegging team secured silver and bronze medals during the third edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Beach Games, currently being held in Muscat, Oman, from April 5 to 11.

Rider Abdullah Al-Daihani clinched the silver medal in the individual saber competition, while the Kuwaiti national team earned the bronze medal in the team saber event following a strong overall performance.

The tent pegging competitions featured individual, pair, and team saber events. The final day saw intense contests in the “ring and lemon” challenges, as well as saber and javelin relay events.

The Kuwaiti tent pegging squad includes riders Hussein Al-Ajmi, Abdullah Al-Hindi, Ibrahim Al-Enezi, Abdullah Al-Daihani, and Ghannam Al-Ajmi, led by coach Rashid Al-Marri and assistant Ali Al-Bin Ali.

With these results, Kuwait's medal count at the GCC Beach Games has reached six medals:

1 silver: Abdullah Al-Daihani (individual saber)

5 bronze:

Khaled Al-Masoud (high jump)

Mohammed Ashkanani (triple jump)

Ali Anki, Hamad Al-Masoud, Badr Bu Hamad, and Abdulaziz Al-Mansour (Optimist sailing team)

Talal Al-Mutawa, Ibrahim Al-Rashoud, Mohammed Al-Dosari, and Ahmed Al-Mas (paragliding team)

These achievements reflect Kuwait’s growing presence and competitive spirit across a range of events at the regional multi-sport tournament.
