Kuwait shuts down 4 industrial facilities, refers 6 for investigation

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: The Permanent Committee for Industrial Violations at the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) has taken several actions against industrial facilities in Kuwait.

Following its latest meeting, the committee decided to suspend the transactions of 24 industrial facilities, issue warnings to 14 others, and close four facilities.

Additionally, 12 reports were submitted to the General Fire Force, and six industrial facilities were referred to investigation authorities—five to the General Department of Investigations and one to the Public Prosecution.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, the authority explained that these decisions were based on 51 industrial violation reports identified over the past few weeks across various facilities and factories.

These measures align with the directives of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PAI, Khalifa Al-Ajeel, who has called for enhanced oversight and control over industrial facilities, factories, and crafts.
