Great participation of children in the Special Olympics.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: Kuwait Special Olympics recently wrapped up the 2024-2025 season of the "Young Players" program at the Kuwait Club Hall, with 75 male and female athletes with intellectual disabilities taking part. These athletes represented nine schools and educational institutions.

The program’s conclusion featured a showcase of the players’ basic skills across various sports, physical fitness activities, balance games, and entertaining segments.

Rehab Bouresly, Director of the Olympics, explained that the Young Players Program is designed to teach and develop sports skills in children with and without intellectual disabilities, aged 2 to 7 years, preparing them for future participation once they turn 8.

Bouresly highlighted the program’s significance in encouraging early sports engagement, emphasizing its positive impact on both physical and mental health.

She also expressed gratitude to the Public Authority for Sports, the Ambition Club, the Marine Club, and the Kuwait Club for their support, which contributed to the success of the program and the wider Olympic activities.
