Kuwait squash team gears up for Asian Junior Championship

Al-Gharib presents a commemorative shield to Al-Ghanim.

HONG KONG, Feb 10: The technical committee for the Asian Junior Squash Championship, set to begin tomorrow in Hong Kong with Kuwait’s participation, will hold a meeting this morning to finalize the match timings, provide instructions, and address any inquiries.

It’s worth noting that Kuwait's national squash team has been placed in the first group, alongside teams from Korea and Sri Lanka. Kuwait’s squad includes Abdulrahman Al-Maghribi, Jassim Al-Gharib, Khaled Al-Fawzan, and Abdulrahman Al-Sanea, with coaches Ahmed Abdel-Aal and Falah Fayez leading the technical staff.

In other news, Kuwait's Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau, Nasser Al-Ghanim, hosted a luncheon the day before yesterday to honor the Kuwaiti Squash team delegation participating in the Asian Junior Championship. The event was attended by Deputy Consul General, Counselor Abdulaziz Al-Zaid.

Adel Al-Gharib, head of the Kuwaiti squash delegation, presented a commemorative shield to Al-Ghanim on behalf of the Federation, expressing gratitude for his warm reception and generous hospitality.

Ambassador Al-Ghanim welcomed the delegation and encouraged the players to perform admirably, reflecting the progress of squash in Kuwait. He wished the team success and hoped they achieved positive results in their matches against Asian teams and advanced to the later rounds.
