Kuwait temperatures to reach 50°C this weekend

KUWAIT CITY, July 4: The weather in Kuwait during this period and over the weekend will be very hot during the day and warm to hot at night, according to the Meteorological Department. Director Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be affected by an extension of the seasonal Indian depression, bringing a hot and dry air mass and northwesterly winds.

On Friday, the weather will remain very hot with northwesterly winds, light to moderate, sometimes active between 12 and 45 km/h, and a chance of dust. The expected maximum temperatures will be between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius, with the sea light to moderate, and waves between 2 and 5 feet. Friday night will continue to be warm to hot, with northwesterly winds, light to moderate, sometimes active between 10 and 45 km/h, and a chance of dust in exposed areas. The expected minimum temperature will be between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, with the sea light to moderate and waves between 2 and 5 feet.

Al-Qarawi noted that Saturday will be very hot and dusty, with northwesterly winds, moderate to active, between 20 and 60 kilometers per hour. The expected maximum temperature will be between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves sometimes rising between 2 and 6 feet. Saturday night will be warm to hot, with northwesterly winds, light to moderate, sometimes active, between 10 and 42 kilometers per hour, and a chance of dust.
