KUWAIT CITY, April 13: Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, announced that coordination is underway with relevant authorities—most notably the Public Prosecution—to issue travel bans against expatriates involved in financial or administrative violations within cooperative societies. This step ensures that violators are subject to full legal procedures and held accountable for their actions. In a statement to Al-Anba, Dr. Al-Huwailah emphasized her ongoing oversight of cooperative societies, particularly their adherence to laws and regulations. She underscored that all violations will be addressed firmly, regardless of the offender’s nationality.
These measures, she noted, aim to promote transparency and integrity within the cooperative sector, safeguard the rights of shareholders and consumers, and ensure the continued delivery of quality services. Dr. Al-Huwailah affirmed that the Ministry will not hesitate to take strict legal action against any cooperative society found to violate the law—whether the offenders are citizens or residents.
