Kuwait to fast-track housing projects and infrastructure in new cities
Kuwait authorities push to overcome infrastructure hurdles in new housing developments.

KUWAIT CITY, April 9: Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), Rashid Al-Enezi, emphasized on Wednesday the authority's commitment to accelerating the implementation of housing projects and providing necessary infrastructure services to support citizens' housing needs in new cities.

In a press statement, Al-Enezi made these remarks during the second meeting of the government coordination committee with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. The meeting focused on discussing the executive plans to address challenges faced by infrastructure service projects in new housing cities. The goal is to find solutions to these obstacles and submit a detailed report on the outcomes of the work conducted by various government agencies to the Council of Ministers.

Al-Enezi explained that the committee will hold successive meetings with relevant government agencies to implement the Cabinet’s decision and align with the directives of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mishari. The Minister emphasized the need for continuous coordination among government bodies to ensure the timely progress of the projects.

Additionally, Al-Enezi noted that the Council of Ministers is closely monitoring the performance of government agencies involved in housing projects through weekly meetings and discussions held by the concerned committees.
