KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: Dr. Hanan Al-Husseini, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Jahra Hospital and Conference President, has officially announced the commencement of the 26th International Conference on Obstetrics and Gynecology in Kuwait. The prestigious event, held under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al- Awadhi, is scheduled to take place from February 8 to February 10, spanning three days. In a press statement, Dr. Al-Husseini highlighted that the conference stands as the largest scientific and training gathering in the field.

The event will feature the participation of renowned experts, including 20 specialists from various foreign, Gulf, and Arab countries, such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, Cyprus, India, Slovenia, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Additionally, local experts renowned for their excellence and experience in obstetrics and gynecology will contribute to the conference. The diverse agenda of the conference encompasses discussions on pregnancy, childbirth, maternal and fetal medicine, addressing fertility issues in both women and men, and utilizing artificial intelligence techniques to enhance in vitro fertilization and assisted fertilization.

Furthermore, the event aims to showcase the latest scientific advancements to enhance the quality of medical services for patients. Topics such as the future of embryology and genetics, robotic surgeries, the application of artificial intelligence in fetal sonars, and therapeutic interventions for fetuses during pregnancy will be explored. Dr. Al-Husseini emphasized that the conference will delve into the latest findings in genetic and hereditary testing before pregnancy.

Moreover, it will address the legal and religious perspectives on the applications of artificial intelligence in medicine, specifically in the realm of women’s health and childbirth. Legal experts and specialists in legislation will contribute to these crucial discussions. The conference will precede its main sessions with three workshops. These include a workshop on advanced detailed ultrasound in gynecology and obstetrics from February 6 to 7, a workshop on male surgeries for fertility operations spanning February 5 to 7, 2024, and a workshop on performing hysteroscopy during February 6 to 7. The workshops are designed to provide valuable insights and hands-on experiences for participants. The 26th International Conference on Obstetrics and Gynecology is poised to be a groundbreaking event, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among experts to advance the field’s understanding and practices.
