KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Kuwait Association of Rheumatologists announced on Saturday that it will organize the third annual conference on rheumatic diseases under the patronage of Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi. Scheduled for April 18, the conference aims to discuss and review the latest developments in rheumatic and immune diseases, with participation from both global and regional experts. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support and strengthen the country’s healthcare system.
Dr. Heba Al-Hajri, Consultant of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the Ministry of Health and Head of the Association, stated in a press release that the event serves as a significant scientific platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise. It will feature six international participants, two regional experts, and 25 local specialists.
Al-Hajri highlighted the diversity and depth of the conference program, which includes specialized dialogue sessions titled "Meeting with Experts." These interactive panels will focus on conditions such as lupus, vasculitis, and ankylosing spondylitis, offering participants a chance to directly engage with international experts.
She added that the Association has ensured the conference is inclusive of all relevant medical specialties. Advanced workshops have been organized for internal medicine and primary care physicians, while focused sessions and lectures will be dedicated to pediatricians specializing in rheumatology.
Dr. Al-Hajri emphasized that the Association remains committed to enhancing scientific communication and supporting physicians in staying up to date with the latest scientific and research advancements. These efforts, she noted, contribute to improving the quality of patient care both in Kuwait and across the region.
