KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: The Kuwait Handball Federation has announced the schedule for the first Kuwait International Championship, set to take place at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex Hall during the international break from November 6-9. On November 6, two matches will be held: Tunisia faces Bahrain at 5:00 pm followed by Kuwait taking on Cape Verde at 7:00 pm. The action continues on the next day with Tunisia playing Cape Verde, while Kuwait meets Bahrain. The tournament will conclude on November 9 with Bahrain facing Cape Verde and Kuwait squaring off against Tunisia.
This championship serves as preparation for Kuwait’s national handball team as it gears up for the 29th World Cup, scheduled from January 14 to February 2 in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway. Kuwait will open its World Cup campaign on January 16 against Austria in Group Three, followed by matches against France and Qatar.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait Handball League’s sixth round starts today with three games. Al-Sahel (0 points) faces Al-Sulaibikhat (6 points) at 4:30 pm, followed by Al-Fahaheel (4 points) against Al-Yarmouk (0 points) at 6:00 pm, and Khaitan (4 points) playing Al-Nasr (also 4 points) at 7:30 pm.

Both teams are eager to bounce back and strengthen their standings in the race for Premier League spots.
