90 persons to lose Kuwait nationality

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality convened a meeting under the leadership of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. During the session, the committee resolved to revoke Kuwaiti citizenship in 90 cases, with the decision set to be presented to the Council of Ministers for final approval.

The committee's rulings were based on various provisions of the Kuwaiti Nationality Law No. 15 of 1959, and its subsequent amendments, and were outlined as follows:

- Six cases involved the loss of Kuwaiti citizenship under Article 11 of the Nationality Law.

- One case saw the revocation of the Kuwaiti nationality certificate in accordance with Article 21 bis A of the law.

- Eighty-three cases were related to the withdrawal of Kuwaiti citizenship under Article 13 of the same law.

These actions mark significant developments in the handling of nationality-related issues in Kuwait.
