CAIRO, June 10: Kuwait's shooting team ranked second Thursday after a strong competition with the Egyptian team, which ranked first with the gold at the Arab shooting tournament currently held in Egypt, while Qatar won the bronze. In separate statements to KUNA, Nasser Al-Maklad, Abdurrahman Al-Faihan and Talal Al-Turki dedicated their medals to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people. Al-Turki congratulated Kuwait on winning this silver medal at the "Trap" contest, adding, "We have raised Kuwait's flag high in this event."

Al-Faihan expressed his delight about the "wonderful" atmospheres of the tournament, stressing that strong competition contributes to the betterment of Arab shooting. On Wednesday, Al-Maklad, Al-Faihan and Al-Turki won the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in Men's Trap shooting contest at the championship. The tourney, which will run until June 12, features 300 male and female shooters from 16 Arab countries.(KUNA)
