Players challenge for the ball during Kuwait and Egypt friendly match.

ALEXANDRIA, Oct 8: The Kuwait U-17 national team played a 1-1 draw against the Egyptian U-17 team in a friendly match as part of their training camp in Alexandria. Kuwait began its camp in Alexandria earlier this week, which will continue for nine days. It is set to play another friendly match against Russia before returning to Kuwait mid-next week. Upon its return, Kuwait will hold an internal camp to prepare for the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers.

Kuwait will host the Group 7 matches of the Asian Cup qualifiers from October 19 to 27. The teams will face off against Australia, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The winners of each of the ten groups and the five best second-place teams will qualify for the finals, which will be held in Saudi Arabia next year.

Kuwait head coach, Croatian Ferdo Milin, made it a point to give as many players as possible a chance to participate in the recent friendly. The same approach will be taken in the match against Russia, as the coaching staff aims to assess the readiness of the entire squad before the qualifiers begin.
