KUWAIT CITY, March 20, (KUNA): Kuwait and Ukraine agreed to issue the entry visas for the nationals of each other at their respective air, sea and land ports, a senior Kuwaiti official said Monday.“The move takes effect as of April 18, 2018, in synchronization with the silver jubilee of the diplomatic relations between both countries,” Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs Waleed Al-Khobeizi told KUNA. He made the comments following the state visit to Kuwait by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko who left for home earlier Monday.Dealing with the visit, Ambassador Al-Khobeizi said it led to many fruitful results that would cement the bilateral ties in all fields. “Both sides inked three documents, including an agreement on defense cooperation, a MoU on promotion of youth and sports exchanges, and a MoU on scientific cooperation between Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,” he pointed out.During his visit to Kuwait, President Poroshenko was accompanied by a large number of ministers and senior officials, which reflects the desire of Ukraine to strengthen the friendship with Kuwait, the Kuwaiti diplomat noted. The two sides agreed to open new horizons for cooperation in the economic, commercial, investment, cultural, academic and scientific areas in the framework of the joint commission on economic and technical cooperation, he added.
