KUWAIT CITY, March 29: The Volleyball Association's Competitions Committee is set to discuss a proposal at the end of the current season to allow one resident player and one Kuwait-born player to participate in next season’s competitions. If approved by the Association's Board of Directors, each team will be able to register three non-Kuwaiti players—a foreign professional, a resident, and a Kuwait-born player—with only two allowed on the court at the same time.

The proposal arises from club demands to include these players as a solution to the financial difficulties of signing foreign professionals, strengthening teams, and increasing competition in local tournaments.

The final decision is expected by next month or May, following a formal submission to the Board of Directors for approval.
