KUWAIT CITY, March 16: Kuwait Volleyball Club secured their spot in the final of the West Asian Volleyball Championships in Amman, Jordan, after defeating Dar Kulaib club from Bahrain with a score of three sets to two. Kuwait won the first three sets with a score of (25/17), (25/21), and (15/13), while Bahrain won the last two sets with scores of (26/24) and (25/20). The match was attended by the Chargé d'affaires at the Kuwaiti embassy in Jordan, Counselor Dr. Mubarak Al-Hajri.

In an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Hajri expressed his hope that the Kuwait Club team would win the championship, which is being held for the first time. He also mentioned that Kuwaiti clubs participate in various international, continental, and regional tournaments to develop players' levels and improve sports in Kuwait.

Kuwait club player Nasser Al-Rifai described the match as a "marathon" of five sets in which both sides performed at a level befitting Gulf football. He added that their experience ultimately helped them defeat Dar Kulaib, who performed with high morale.

The Kuwait Volleyball Club will face the winner of the Al-Rayyan and Al-Shorta match in the next round. The West Asian Volleyball Championship, which includes eight clubs, will be held at Al-Hussein Youth City in Amman until Saturday.
